How to install :

Copy my rom to internal sdcard
BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP
If you came from a Gingerbread or AOSP Rom or if you use Stock Email, you MUST WIPE your data
Flash my rom from Recovery
Reboot & enjoy, let the phone to boot up, at least 5 minutes to let media scanner finish.

Known issues :

If you use a Stock Email/Exchange account, you must wipe your email & exchange data.
DO NOT CHECK “Force GPU rendering” on Developer options as it may causes some issue (Lock wallpaper…)
If you want to install apps on sdcard, unmount it install your apps then mount it.
If you get any Market issue, just remove your Google Account, Reboot and Add it again.

This Rom is the best ICS until now …. The only problem that I encounter this far is while charging . Sometimes I have to restart the phone (which also doesn’t work is the “Restart” option ,only shuts down and never comes back) in order to charge it. Also when the charging stucks ,the phone overheats ,yesterday climbed at 50 C !!! and charged only 15% for 2 hours…. So if theres a fix for that I will beg for an update soon or If not …. please fix it …

The device freezes every 5 minutes and restarts on its own , are you really installing this roms or just writing out of the blue comments ? I know of about 10 people that installed this rom all of them with the same exact problems , camera takes 2-3 seconds to operate after a button press , freezings , fc , random resets etc etc . Nowhere near a done job .

  If you’re running into this many problems, you’re probably doing something wrong. I’ve been running wanam’s ROMs for the past week or so and have had almost no problems. It’s certainly stable enough to use as a daily driver.
  
  Here are a bunch of things that you need to be aware of:
  
  * wanam’s ROMs are based on leaked betas from Samsung. These XXLP_ betas are still a bit buggy, and will be until there’s an official release.
  
  * If you’re coming from a Gingerbread ROM or CM9/MIUI, you need to do a full wipe/factory reset. It’s also recommended that you do a full wipe if you’re coming from a different ICS XXLP_ ROM.
  
  * If you’ve been using an XXLP_ ROM that has the Samsung email app, you need to clear the data for the Email and Exchange apps. This ROM uses the AOSP mail app and stores different data.
  
  * If you’re using a backup app like Titanium Backup, do NOT restore any data for system apps. Newer system apps are often incompatible with older data.
  
  * There are still a bunch of third-party apps that don’t play nice with ICS yet. You might be running one or more of these apps.

    ty for your response , done a full wipe and booted again , works alot (!) better than before , probably the problem was contact app related clashing with google+ , as of now no FC , some freezes but nothing too drastic. good day !

Hi wanam.tq for ur rom.i’m having one prob.i cant disable the scrolling wallpaper in this rom.when choosing static wpaper,still it will scroll.i used 2 different devices but still having the same results.can u pls fix it?tq

  Which launcher are you using? Apex, Nova, Trebuchet or TouchWiz? Whatever one it is, chances are that it’s a bug in the launcher and not something that wanam has done.
  
  If it’s Apex, you can try reporting the bug on the official XDA thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1452663
  
  If it’s Nova, you can try contacting the developer (TeslaCoil Software) via their web site: http://teslacoilsw.com/
  
  If it’s Trebuchet, you can try posting in the XDA thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1410674
  I’m not sure if the developers look there much or not, but you may get some help from other users.
  
  If it’s TouchWiz then there’s probably not much you can do.

  The Skyrocket is quite a different beast to the I9100. It uses a completely different CPU, which means it’s incompatible with I9100 ROMs.
  
  So, sadly, the answer for you is no.

Hello, not sure if anybody realized this, but for the past 4 updates i was not able to turn off the scrolling background. Even if you set the wallpaper as non scrolling, it doesn’t work. Love the ROM btw. been using it for quite some time with no problem what so ever. If anyone can help me solve this problem it would be really helpful.

  are you using the NOVA launcher? go to NOVA setting>>>behavior>>>wallpaper scrolling>>>turn it OFF or turn it to static.

I lovoed your gb roms.

But I dont know why I keep getting freezez and hangs with ics.

Is there a way that can help me reduce th issues. Ir atleast identify the problematic aplications?

  Probably google plus but i think that any app that clashes with contacts causing the device to freeze , im on the same issue and i got freezes from twitter , whatsapp , tango and facebook .

  wanam’s ROM is based on a beta leak from Samsung. Any hangs/crashes/etc are most likely because the OS is still being worked on by Samsung.
  
  If you haven’t done so already, try a factory reset. Many problems are caused by the phone trying to use data left over from older ROMs.

Hi wannam- I have a problem with wifi. I connect to a wifi repeater with the same ssid as the main router, but I cannot connect to the repeater. My wifes iPhone works fine and so does my laptop.any ideas?

thank you very much for the efforts and your hard work to share with us your Best ROM’s, according to what i see for the last 2 days testing it:

1- the GPS icon when its trying to connect the GPS , need to be tuned
2- in the past rom’s when i click on the Wifi , it was pop a dialog for giving the available networks automatically, but now in this rom i have to go Manually to Setting -> Wifi and choose the network.
i have checked on the “Network notification” is checked in the Advanced Wi-Fi menu.

Great ROM. stable so far!

noticed an issue with Apex launcher… sometimes widgets dont update (even after rebooting)
also, on some apps when you hit back all the way, it goes to Apex even though i have Nova set as default.

  The SD problem is caused by a bug in the LPB and LPH kernels. You can happily flash on a LP6 kernel to fix the problem, and the only major side-effect is that the FM radio will no longer work.
  
  If you want to find a XXLP6 kernel, check the I9100 CF-Root thread on XDA.

  SGS2 modems are fairly universal, so long as you get one that’s made for your hardware. This means that you can flash any I9100 modem on any I9100 ROM, but you wouldn’t flash an I9100G modem.
  
  There are 2 ways to flash a new modem. The easiest is to find a CWM package for that modem, then flash the update using CWM recovery. The other way is to get an official TAR file for the modem, and flash that using Odin. Either way, your best chance of getting help is to look through XDA. You should be able to find lots of info without starting a new thread,

Dear Wanam,

There are some issues I think might be helpful to know:

1) after playing a song is stock music player, if you go for another one and play it, you should stay where you are ! otherwise if you click back button the first song will be played back again !

2) if you use ES File explorer to explore videos in network drive and play them via MX Player, the player is not able to play them while it is able to play those file on local drive. no need to say there’s no more network player to test it except MX Player.

3) after opening Opera mini and browsing a website, you can’t press home button to do a job and get back to opera mini because by pressing the home button, opera closes completely and you will lose any open tabs.

4) battery is draining very fast in sleep mode ! I guess clock is not gonna be down in sleep mode

5) blinking GPS icon in white is ok but in blue it’s like an ellipse. this behavior appears in radio buttons in settings also.

6) typing speed with keyboard in messaging and other programs is not fast and adaptive which causes mistakes

7) connecting phone to PC via USB in mass storage mode is not as easy as it was in 2.3.6 based ROMs,

8) having VPN without having security lock is not possible and I simply hate it

    Today I just found :
    i9100 + Wanam 8.9 = Electric heater ! for 100 minutes
    just open Maps and turn WiFi on and explore areas. you’ll see draining like you can’t even imagine.
    
    Help please I hope it lasts one day at least but …
    Anyway to build in a governor to reduce clock speed ?

      The only way to add/change a governor is with the kernel source code, and that hasn’t been released yet. There are reports that we’ll see a final ICS release in the next few weeks, so it probably won’t be long until Samsung release the source.

I download the version 8.9 and it simply does not pass the screen where it says samsung s2 glasy never get to the animation start and a says to move the bootanimation.zip but where you have to save because they know where if the system or in the zip of the rom and that folder.

and delete it without wanting to lower emissions from phone because my phone because I was not at home when I saw and when I run it I get off.

and now I want to lose again and I get that is not available.

and I would like to know how to install it right.

8.8 was awful and hung most of the time
let’s go for 8.9 and check if it’s better or not
otherwise I promise I’ll never give ICS a try until I find it official by manufacturers

Thanks for the fast update. But google server are for some reasons very slow (64kb/s) today and I am sure google well block the file soon like the last time. Please upload it to some fast server or someone other will do it, because its a pain to wait 1h for a download.
