i downloaded it, is there a step by step guide to back up the stock rom and then root and then install this? m a newbie.. want to install on S4 GT19500

Hey Wanam, do you think that there could be a way to integrate the ultra power saving mode from the S5 into our 9505s? I would reaaaaally love to have that saving power in my S4. BTW – I’ve been using this V3.0 Rom for a month now, and I have to say it is great! it’s the best one I have ever seen! thanks so much for sharing with us!

I have bootloader xxuamdm on my phone. Wanamlite v2.9 worked fine with this bootloader version, but Wanamlite v3.0 has major problems. Here’s what happens:-

Flash WanamLite v3. Power off phone. Connect it to the phone charger. The phone then mysteriously turns itself on (when it’s off!) and begins booting. Locks up at lockscreen. I’ve done full wipe with twrp before flashing. This problem NEVER occurs with Wanamlite 2.9, only 3.0 when used with xxuamdm bootloader (which I have on my phone). I don’t wish to mess around with updating my bootloader via Odin, as I don’t know if I can downgrade – I know Knox does not fascilate for downgrading and want to keep Knox off my phone.

Please explain what your rom has done to my S4. Originally installed your 2.9 build and loved it, best rom out there. Then when I upgraded to your 3.0 release I noticed that after a few reboots “About Device” was listing the the new Adam kernel 2.4 but reverted the build number back to 2.9. Now I have installed many other roms onto my S4 since then and the same thing always happens, everything installs perfectly fine, full wipe+dalvik wipe but after a few reboots my device reverts to listing your 2.9 rom as the build that I’m currently running. Most recently was after installing cm11, here is a screenshot to show my problem. Anyone else see this happening?
Please help with this, it is causing quite the issues with my S4.

    pls answer my last question:

If I install “WanamLite XXUGNG8 V3.0 Android KitKat 4.4.2 Xposed” on my device, Can I downgrade it to 4.2.2 version later. (sometimes it is needed)

I read somewhere :”If 4.4.2 version will install on your device you can not downgrade to 4.2.2 because of some update in boot-loader”.

    so I’m waiting for response…
    Thanks a lot

Can someone post some battery usage screenshots? Screen Time Also

If I install it, Can i downgrade it to 4.2.2 again if it needed?

    • http://wanamlite.com/ Mohamed Karami (Wanam)

You can NOT downgrade to an Official Firmware if you flash the new Bootloader.
But i cannot confirm this version will work correctly with old Bootloader.

      • ASDAL

Now I have official T-MOBILE ROM that provided by this site ( somewhere it mentioned this version have not effect on boot-loader – mabye it is customized official !!! ). So…
I install adam kernel + wanam expose

But there is not a very good sense about battery saving like last wanam rom I was installed before on 4.2.2.

The question is if I install this new 4.4.2 ROM then I’ll enjoy of battery saving or not?

        Thanks for answering
        Thanks for your nice ROM
        Thanks for your time Mr.mohammad

How is with the battery life currently im using wanamlite version 2.9 and I’m having battery drain issues and from time to time in notification center bug report shows up. Hope to hear a good news. Thanks!

  • StatikBlue

Just installed over 2.9, noticed in about device it listed the new Adam kernel 2.4 but build number still shows 2.9 – ugng2. Gonna try reinstall.

    • StatikBlue

Reinstalled over previous install, no wipe. Listed new 3.0 build in about device after install but now on the next day it is listing build 2.9 again. Didn’t change anything. Anyone else seeing this?

  • REGZ

Hi, I’m in Casablanca and I have S4 LTE I9505 carrier unlocked. I’m not getting 3G connection from Maroc Telecom (EDGE only) even if my simcard is 3G and is working with any S4 I9500. I’ve tried almost all stock/custom roms and modems but still get EDGE only.

I’ve seen your screenshots and noticed that you are in Maroc Telecom with H+ connection, I will download and flash your WanamLite rom and hope that it is the one that I’m searching for a long time…

Appreciate if you have any ideas/remarks that will help me fix the problem, thanks in advance.

    • http://wanamlite.com/ Mohamed Karami (Wanam)

Mes Roms contiennent normalement tous les APNs Marocains.

      • REGZ

I also have the correct APNs for Maroc Telecom but I don’t know why I can’t connect higher than EDGE. I’m now downloading your rom, I’ll test it and give you feedback. Thanks again.

        • Rolando

          me too, please help!

      • REGZ

I flashed your rom but it still connects with EDGE only, if I choose “WCDMA only” it will lose the signal completely. Any idea what else I can do to have 3G?

  • Boudy Rifai

very happy that i bought the 4g version that is supported by you !!!
    thank you very muchh
    don’t buy another phone 😛

hey I have a question. I know it could be kind of dumb but I prefer to be 100% sure about this. The title says NO-WIPE, so if I have this WanamLite V2.9 (which is awesome by the way) I can install this V3.0 without making any wipe, am I right? so no wipe needed at all?

Thanks and again sorry for the stupid confirmation.

    • http://wanamlite.com/ Mohamed Karami (Wanam)

Yes, it will NOT wipe your data.

      • Rodrigo Castillo

Thanks for the reply! I appreciate it! I have to say that this is the best rom for the 9505 for those who like to keep a simple stock-like rom but at the same time fully customizable! thanks and keep up the great work! from now on I will be following this rom and its updates!

  • Clodoux

Thanks ! It’s fine for me too
